There is an exciting opportunity to join the team of Healthcare Scientists working in the Clinical Measurement and Engineering Unit of Northern Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering, for a fixed term to cover maternity leave.  This role involves working clinically in outpatient and theatre settings,  based primarily in two clinical services, visual electrodiagnostics (VED) and spinal cord monitoring (SCM).  The post-holder will perform VED tests on patients in an outpatient environment and report these investigations clinically. Separately, they will also deliver intraoperative neuromonitoring for patients undergoing spinal surgery. Service-specific training will be provided as required, but an understanding of neurophysiology and clinical experience in performing patient investigations is essential.
